Where are we on the Revelation Timeline?

This article forms the backbone to a recent video made (below) that skims the surface of the Book of Revelation and where we are on the Bible Prophecy timeline. Are we at the beginning, the mid point or at the end? or are we not even at the beginning yet, but just building up to it. Are we in the Seven Seals, The Seven Trumpets or the Seven Vials (Bowls). This article is an expansion on the last 3 articles that covered the 3 groups of 7 judgements making a total of 21 judgements. It will go into more depth about the Prophecy Timeline in Revelation which was just briefly covered and summarised in those articles. This is just my opinion based on just reading the Bible and not reading too much into Political or Religious leaders and revolving a prophecy around such characters. Those theories may be correct and it has to be agreed are compelling, but again that is a whole separate article in it´s own right.

The Book of Revelation, many say is not a tick list or an ordered chronological list of events and the events indicated are just symbolic as the prophet at the time had no idea about modern technology and our times and was merely seeing things that back thousands of years ago they would not be able to understand. Others say that The Book of Revelation IS an accurate depiction of what will ACTUALLY happen at some FUTURE date and time, and is in a set chronological order and laid out with events escalating in 3 categories giving mankind many last chances to repent and see the error of their ways.

Book of Revelation

Personally I have read Revelation many times and the conclusion I have come to is this:
1. If you read the Book of Revelation just like a novel from beginning to end you get a general picture of an apocalyptic scenario with many mythical figures but you are left at the end scratching your head and wondering what it´s all about.
2. If you start breaking the Book down into larger components to reveal it´s structure and break those components into small components and study and cross reference verses that stand out (many do), the Book will start to reveal itself and it´s true message starts to unfold and it will hit you like a sledgehammer. The Book of Revelation has many parallels in Matthew in the New Testament and Isaiah and Daniel and others in The Old Testament.

The 21 judgements are in three categories comprising 7 Seals, 7 Trumpets and 7 Vials and span Revelation 6-19 which could be classed as "The Tribulation Period". Many of the Seals being opened and the judgements parallel Matthew 24 which gives the signs such as pestilence, famine, wars and rumours of war and earthquakes in diverse places. These are what Jesus says are "the beginnings of sorrows" and you can draw many similarities with The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse and what is mentioned in Matthew 24. You could even say that we are most certainly in those times.

The First Trumpet. A key verse

For some reason, Revelation 8:7 jumped out at me in the search of an easy way to demonstrate where we are on the Revelation Timeline, and I kept circling and reading this verse. It became apparent that this was to be the backbone for this article and supporting Vlog over at You Tube. If you are "born Again" you will know what I´m talking bout". Bible verse below:

The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

It´s a very simple verse, self explanatory and can´t be made any clearer. What is also clear is that this event in the history of this planet, as far as I am aware, has not happened yet. It´s clearly an act of divine intervention that is highly selective and not something that can be easily replicated by mankind, such as via a nuclear bomb which is total destruction, not the highly selective destruction mentioned here. It´s the sending out of an undeniable message that can only be from one............God!

The Bible mentions that in the Last Days there will be lies and deceptions which we are seeing now in our times. A lot of people think we are in the Trumpet phase of Revelation, but just reading Revelation 8:7 it´s quite clear that we are not. Also, that is the First Angel and First Trumpet, if that one sounds bad, then each one that follows right up to Trumpet 7 gets progressively worst. If Trumpet 1 has not happened, how can any of the other trumpets have happened, if the Revelation timeline does in fact run in a chronological order?

Trumpets Sounds = Trumpet Judgements?

Various End Times Headlines and video channels have footage of Trumpet sounds being heard coming from the Sky and being recorded on mobiles. The footage is impressive and compelling evidence and obviously not staged (some footage is from remote areas) BUT these sounds can be replicated by man and played on a large PA system if somebody had the inclination to do so, nobody would know the difference. The other problem is, if the trumpets we are hearing are being sounded, why  no corresponding unmistakable and unmissable  judgements following? Finally if the Trumpet sounds do signify that we are actually at say the beginning of the Trumpet judgements or are going through them now, what happened to Seal 6 from the 7 Seal Judgements detailed below?

12. And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13. And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Again this Sixth Seal has not happened yet. We have had solar eclipses, we have had blood moons (Tetrad), we have had quite afew fireballs, but not at the magnitude suggested here and these are stars falling upon the earth (definitely hasn´t happened). There has been no Great Earthquake, yes we´ve had earthquakes some serious, but no "Great Earthquake" in magnitude which would suggest something Mag 9 or above. Every mountain and island moved out of their places.......this hasn´t happened either. There has been a lot of volcanic eruptions but not to the extent that islands and mountains have been moved out of place? This would probably be as a result of the said Great Earthquake. The verses seem to suggest that the Blood Moon, Black Sun and Stars all happen at the same time. If the Sixth Seal hasn´t happened and the Book of Revelation is in a chronological order......... then NONE of the 7 Trumpets have happened either??

The Book of Daniel Prophecy

If weramp things up and take things a step further and back this up with the Prophecy in Daniel called the 70 weeks which is often referred to as the 70 weeks of years mentioned in Daniel 9:24-27 with the 7 week and 62 week prophecies being fulfilled leaving just the final week or 7 years as detailed in the "Is the Great Tribulation of 3.5 or 7 years" article. IF the Daniel last week is actually the last 7 years of this age or of civilization and the mid point of this period is signified by the Beast (Anti Christ) standing in the Holy Temple saying he is God (The Abomination of Desolation), then this would draw very close parallels with Book of Revelation 13 and  Revelation 14 which would be the corresponding mid point of that Book.

It could therefore be concluded that the 7 Seals of Revelation are the pre judgements before the Mid Point and the Abomination of Desolation and the post judgements being the 7 Trumpets and 7 Vials (Bowls) are the second half of the 7 year Tribulation period which could be what is known as "The Great Tribulation" Again if we are indeed in the Trumpet phase of the Book of Revelation, what happened to the Abomination of Desolation, the worshiping of the Beast, the taking of the Mark...........again none of these things as far as I can see have happened yet. These events are not secret society behind closed door events, these are public and high profile and have yet to happen!

The River Euphrates and Prophecy

The River Euphrates drying up is another event that is mentioned in the Trumpet and Vial stages of the Book of Revelation and lends strength to the argument again that we are in the Trumpet Judgement phase of the Book of Revelation. The river Euphrates is indeed showing signs of drying up, but not as a result of divine intervention. Some headlines are saying one of the major dams on the river has been taken over by terrorist groups to simulate the drying out of the river Euphrates. This would be a man made event, the lake behind the dam which is still the Euphrates would also have to dry up for that to signify one of the last Trumpet judgements. Again in reality this has not happened yet.

Conclusion.

As I have said many times, I am not a Prophet, just I suppose a Watchman on the Wall, watching for signs, events and news that falls in line with scripture. Many things are going on in the world and it is easy to say we are at a certain Chapter in Revelation, experiencing a certain judgement and certain world figures correspond with what is mentioned in Revelation. Some is true, some in my opinion is miles off the mark, or looks on the mark say a year or two ago but the jigsaw pieces do not fit now in October 2016 as the timeline is starting to run out of steam, as will be demonstrated in an upcoming article. The TRUE answer is always in the Bible. God left us his word, his word is timeless and moves with time, doesn´t need correcting, doesn´t need updating and certainly doesn´t need twisting to prove some man made Prophetic Theory.



In conclusion after reading the Book of Revelation many times, in my humble opinion, we are with regard to the Book of Revelation timeline, in one of two scenarios.
1. Approaching Chapter 6 and The Seven Seals are about to be opened. If the White Horse is the arrival of The Anti Christ and the Red Horse is potentially World War III, in my opinion these events have not happened yet hence this view. Others will disagree.
2. We are approaching the Fourth Seal being opened or it has been opened and we are approaching the fifth seal but certainly we are not in the Trumpet Judgements phase. There is just no mistaking those events.

Matthew 24 and the "Beginnings of Sorrows" covers the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse very nicely and we are somewhere round that area that this Bible verse states very clearly

Matthew 24:6-8
6. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
