Mega Preachers Exposed Part 9. Benny Hinn a closer look

A closer look at the Mega Preacher, Teacher, Prophet, Author, Televangelist and of course Healer that is Benny Hinn. A massive name with a correspondingly massive following. He has been around for a considerable period of time. His ministry can be found at Bennyhinn.org (no link from this website!) and he is renowned for his own trademark religious sermons, he broadcasts daily and is watched by millions and you could quite safely say......he is a one off. Nothing else out there resembles him in any shape or form, nothing even comes close.

This is a form your own opinion article. After reading this article and watching these videos anybody who is in their right mind, does not need any of this explaining whether you are in the Christian faith or not. You really don´t!

Background via Wikipedia
Benny Hinn is the author of a number of inspirational Christian books. His thirty-minute TV program This Is Your Day is among the world's most-watched Christian programs, seen on various Christian television networks, including Trinity Broadcasting Network, Daystar Television Network, Revelation TV, Grace TV, Vision TV, INSP Networks, and The God Channel. Hinn conducts regular "Miracle Crusades"—revival meeting / faith healing events held in sports stadiums in major cities throughout the world. Tens of millions attend his Holy Spirit Miracle Crusades each year. Further details at the Wikipedia article.

He teaches his very own Gospel (sample quotes further into the article), has many trademarks (including the infamous white suit) but he is best known for his Anointing where he waves his hands in a persons direction, or even a crowd, mumbles some strange words (such as Touuuuccccchhhhhhh) or starts singing?? and they fall over and get up (some don´t get up) and feel amazing afterwards. Some are laughing their heads off with what they call Holy Laughter, some are crawling around the floor like a Baby, some may start howling or barking like a dog, others are convulsing with what he calls the "electricity of the Holy Ghost"??................Right?

The huge congregation of course end up going into a frenzy and some of these events are not a couple of hours but can last up to a marathon of over 5 hours. They are broadcast globally on the usual networks that these Mega Preachers actually appear on. He performs miracles as well with healings being his speciality ( medical confirmation for some reason lacking). Some examples being people regaining their eyesight (years later confirmed they are still blind), people getting up out of wheelchairs and walking? (could they walk already), and numerous cases of cancer being cured including one where "the tumor literally fell to the floor and broke into pieces"??

Of course it´s not free, but then nothing this good ever is? One person who actually went their said it´s $42.... more on that in a superb article they wrote on their experience later, but what a night you will have? He certainly is entertaining but is also highly controversial and he walks the tight rope of controversiality with apparent ease and has done so for decades.

What does Benny Hinn Teach and Preach?

So what does Benny Hinn Teach and Preach first off? He´s been in the game for 40 years so his experience is right up there with the best, what will you learn and hear if you go to a Benny Hinn event? He does occasionally quote some correct scripture but it usually gets drowned in a sea of Benny Hinn extreme heretical quotes. Here´s some samplers to get you head scratching.

Benny Hinn Famous Quotes via Inspirational Stories and AZ Quotes

1. I saw Jesus walk into my bedroom.

2. I'd be a fool to be in this for the money.

3. Now I have quit teaching such things, and I have made it clear that I no longer believe them.

4. What does God the Father look like? Although I've never seen Him, I believe - as with the Holy Spirit - He looks like Jesus looked on earth.

5. The reason people lose their healing is because they begin questioning if God really did it.

6. Where in the Bible does it say I have to drive a Honda?.

7. Look, any amount I make, somebody's going to be mad.

8. Poverty comes from Hell. Prosperity comes from Heaven. Adam had complete dominion over the earth and all it contains. A. Adam could fly like a bird. B. Adam could swim underwater and breathe like a fish. Adam went to the moon. Adam walked on water. Adam was a super being; He was the first superman that lived. Adam had dominion over the sun, moon & stars. Christians do not have Christ in their hearts. Sow a big seed, when you confess it, you are activating the supernatural forces of God

9. When you say, 'I am a Christian,' you are saying, 'I am mashiach,' in the Hebrew. I am a little messiah walking on earth, in other words. That is a shocking revelation. ...May I say it like this? You are a little god on earth running around

10. God will not move unless I say it. Why? because He has made us co-workers with Him. He set things up that way.

11. Jesus Christ knew the only way He would stop Satan is by becoming one in nature with him...He became one with the nature of Satan, so all those who had the nature of Satan can partake of the nature of God.

12. Adam was a super being when God created him...he had dominion over the fowls of the air which means he used to fly...well of course how could you have dominion over the birds and not be able to do what they do. Adam flew into space, with one thought he would be on the moon.

13. There will be no sickness for the saint of God. ... If your body belongs to God, it does not and cannot belong to sickness.

14. I don't need gold in heaven, I gotta have it now.

Quotes via AZQuotes

There are many others but I think you get the idea

Some Benny Hinn Prophecies

Samples from an event that contained 20 minutes of Prophesying to his congregation that night, Benny Hinn appeared to be "drunk in the spirit."
1. "The Spirit tells me— Fidel Castro will die in the 90's. . . Holy Spirit just said to me, it'll be worse than any death you can imagine."
2. "The Lord also tells me to tell you in mid 90's— about '94 or '95, no later than that— God will destroy the Homosexual community of America . . . He will destroy it with fire."
3. "The Spirit of God tells me— an Earthquake will hit the east coast of America and destroy much in the 90's."

Analysis
Bible quotes that say otherwise to all of these can be found with ease but to summarise from just these 14 quotes. He is promoting the "Little Gods Doctrine", he is promoting the Prosperity Gospel which includes Health and Wealth. He says if you partake in Satan then you are partaking in God just like Jesus did?? He has power to move God instead of the other way round. Poverty comes from hell which means Jesus who was homeless and pretty much penniless is more of the same. He says that the Bible does not say anywhere that it´s not OK to drive in a Rolls Royce instead of a Honda. You can lose your healing if you don´t actually believe it happened which is a good way to explain away why there is no medical evidence or documentary proof that Benny Hinn can actually heal. Sow a "Big Seed" read give loads of money and reap a big harvest in the form of health and wealth. The typical Broad Way Prosperity Gospel. As for his views on Adam and Eve...........come to your own conclusions. I think the word Heresy is highly relevant here.

He is a Healer and a Preacher but he would be a fool if he said he was in it for the money?

False Prophet Benny Hinn says: "God will not bless a Church if the pastor is poor"

Even More on that in a video below. Last but not least all the things he taught in the past he doesn´t teach anymore, because he doesn´t believe them. So what´s to say what he is teaching now is all lies in 5-10 years time, come to think about it what he could actually be saying is "everything he teaches is lies" and that statement is a sort of disclaimer.

Benny Hinn Interviews

Moving on and delving a bit deeper beyond the white suits and bright lights and the congregations hands raised and waving in sync and the strange goings on at his events, the best way to find out what anybody is all about is in a one on one interview especially with these Mega Preachers. Benny Hinn doesn´t normally agree to interviews (for obvious reasons), but here are 3 video interviews below that reveal more and get you closer to what Benny Hinn is really all about. One interviewer is thankfully quite brutal, but the usual characteristics are on display that are traits of other Mega Preachers when they are in a corner and in a spotlight. Would you buy a used car from this man, let alone trust your faith or your son or daughter or even your life to such a person

Benny Hinn: 'People Can't Be Fooled for 35 Years!'

Benny Hinn Interview, "I Can't Heal, It's God's Love That Heals"

You may want to check a recent article called "25 ways to spot a False Preacher and False Teacher" and apply it to these videos.
Somebody that actually went to a Benny Hinn event tells of their experience.

Somebody who actually went to a Benny Hinn event that was called "The Holy Spirit Miracle Service" says what it was like to be there in the crowds. Sample from their excellent article below. Their words not mine.

"There are a lot of things you should try at least once in your life — skydiving, eating some exotic delicacy, traveling alone. Let me give you one thing not to add to that list: attending a Benny Hinn Holy Spirit Miracle Service.

They came to the following conclusions after leaving the event after a staggering 2 and half hours (the event went on for over 5 hours)

1. You’ll second-guess your Bible knowledge.
2. You’ll realize he’s in control of everything in his world.
3. You’ll wrestle with your negative thoughts.
4. You’ll discover that he owns up to the prosperity gospel.
5. You may end up walking out.

Benny Hinn on one of the pillars of the Christian Faith "Saved" or "Born Again"

This can be the very foundation of your faith and although he is correct in stating that being "Saved" or "Born Again" is not just a feeling you have, there has to be some other processes involved. He states there are four things that say you are saved and he quotes Bible verses from Matthew to qualify this claim. After listening to this video he is in no uncertain terms raising doubt whether you are actually "Saved" or not. I managed to nail down three ways (not four) from this video that tell you that you are definetly "Saved". This would rule out 99% of all Saved Christians on this planet myself included??

1. You cannot be born again unless you have had a 1 on 1 experience
2. You are unashamed
3. You must acknowledge him publically
4. Couldn´t find No4, if anybody find it please let me know?

Benny Hinn "Are You Really Saved?"

A 40 Year career span analysis

Benny Hinn has been around for 40 years and as he puts it in one of the above video interviews, if he was a fraud or a fake, people would have realised by now and they would stop coming to his events, stop watching his daily TV shows and he would disappear into obscurity. But he is still around. This video is a life time career analysis spanning all his events including Miracle Events, The Annointings and the Historic Crusades.

Benny Hinn Exposed - 40 years of LIES

Conclusion and Summary

On first impressions, watching Benny Hinn in action I was just shaking my head in disbelief whilst laughing and thinking "so this is what Christianity really is??". It doesn´t take a rocket scientist to work out that Benny Hinn is not only a False Teacher/Preacher and probably one of those most glaring written in neon signs, he is to compound the matter further a False Prophet. Could it get any worse, yes it does,  he is a False Healer as well, with very little evidence to back up claims that he actually does heal and he even states himself he is not sure either and says he sometimes makes mistakes.

Vid: A video featuring the owner of this website sheds some light titled 15 Signs of a False Preacher

These types of Preacher are your typical "Wolves in Sheep´s Clothing" that not only show no respect for God but are relying on the Biblically illiterate to peddle their twisted doctrine. Here´s the bizarre thing, these people (the congregation) believe all this stuff and not only that, they end up paying to go to these events, end up exposed to what can only be describe as demonic practices and then probably make further donations at the end of the event to keep this character in clover. Further down the road they will inevitably wake up and smell the coffee, realise they have been conned (repeatedly) and may end up losing their faith in the process and never end up finding the truth that would keep you away from such people in the first place.

There must be hundreds of videos out there showing Benny Hinn in action on You Tube, some of the ones used here are from obvious fans and believers and this is the problem. If you get sucked into the Hinn False Doctrine, Lies and Deceit and keep watching his programs and go to his events you will eventually end up worshiping him and not worshiping who you are supposed to be worshiping and that is God. When your faith is dependent on one man for it to survive, some way down the line you will hit major problems and that´s not just with your faith.

Before I was "Saved" I would probably go to one of these Benny Hinn events "just for a laugh" but they are designed just like crack cocaine to get you hooked and you will keep coming back for more and fleece your bank account in the process whilst being led as far away from the truth as you can possibly get. You will get sucked into the crowd hysteria and no matter how sound your faith is, your mind will get messed with and you will question whether your faith is the real deal OR that perish the thought, maybe this is where you should have come all along??

A lot of people get fooled when a Preacher uses the word "God" and think they must be of God. They probably are, but which God are they talking about here, the one in heaven, or the one on this fallen earth? When somebody says in no uncertain terms that to become one with God you have to embrace and become evil just as Jesus did, even the spiritually ignorant must think "hang on something isn´t quite right here?" To conclude Benny Hinn is a cocktail of Falseness embracing Preaching, Teaching, Prophecy and Healing laced with Heresy and what can only be called Voodoo, all rolled into one charismatic white suited package and YES he is Dangerous. All I can say is, if you cannot see this, there really is no hope in this world and it would explain why these False Mega Preachers are as successful as they are!

25 Ways to Spot a False Preacher and False Teachers

25 Ways to tell a False Preacher or a False Teacher. This article ties up with the recent articles False Prophets and False Prophecies and Mega Preachers and Mega Churches. Links to those individual articles include also the Mega Preachers Exposed series where individual Preachers are put under the microscope. Links at foot of this article.

We are living in an age of deception and the Christian Religion is no exception. We have wolves in sheep´s clothing in our midst who´s sole objective is to lead congregations astray and get rich in the process. The techniques False Preachers  use are increasingly complex and cunning but after analysing a number closely, they all are unique in their own way but they all have some glaring similarities.

A recent video featuring the founder of this website talking about personal experiences with False Preachers.15 signs that are a dead giveaway!

These are the Top 25 things in my opinion that give the False Preacher and False Teacher game away, some are obvious, some are not, some are unusual or unorthodox but are sure fire ways to ensure that you are not getting caught up in lies and deception and ultimately in a situation where your faith could be compromised as a result. Listed afterwards is what the Bible has to say on the matter which obviously has precedence over the 25 points mentioned here.

A video featuring the owner of this website sheds some light titled 15 Signs of a False Preacher

1. The eyes. They are the windows to the soul. If you see an angelic looking Preacher/Teacher wearing very Christian looking clothes and acting Christian, talking Christian, check the eyes...they will always give the game away. Remember the fruits of the Christian Spirit will be love, joy, humbleness, peace whereas an Evil Spirit will have Anger, Hate, Aggressiveness and restlessness about them. Stare into the eyes of a sheep and the eyes of a wolf and you get the point I´m trying to make here. You will not miss the difference!

2. Body language and hand motions. Check this fascinating article from Olivet Journal on some of the Mega Preachers in action and watch the hand signals they use. If they are using ny of these then you are being exposed to Freemasonry, Illuminati or some other Secret Order. All Mega Preachers will introduce these hand signals into their sermons and most people don´t even notice.

3. Sermon delivery. Is it fast, energetic, full of jokes, much pacing up and down and is the delivery like a stand up comedian. Do they use the Bible and quote from it? OR do they just wave it around like a fashion accessory or worse mistreat it or ignore it the whole sermon and just read from notes.

4. Do they add, subtract or twist the word or use sentences such as "It´s not in Scripture so it must be OK" or "That was never mentioned by X so it is not a problem". Do they create scripture from silences or blanks in the Bible? Do they use words such as "Yes the Bible says this, this and this.............but NO NO NO what is really being said here is that, that and that"

5. Are they mixing other beliefs and introducing their words into their sermon such as New Age, Islam, Hindu, Buddhism or Pagan and passing it off as Christianity. Do they talk about other religions and bring that into the sermon, maybe even promoting that Religion. Do they use Christianity as some sort of self help platform or as a positive motivational self improvement course to give what they are promoting more credibility.

6. Do they use a strange version of the Bible or one especially produced for them, or do they use multiple versions.

7. Do they claim to have a special gift and that they are in regular communication and have some sort of hotline with God and try to act as a mediator so you can communicate with God just like they do.

8. What are their fruits? Are they storing treasure here on earth or in heaven? Do they have the fruits of someone with the Holy Spirit or something else?

9. Where do they stand on Christian Beliefs. the Trinity, Sin, Hell, Heaven, God, Jesus, Prayer and Fasting and Salvation and the other foundations of Christianity?

10. Do they appear on Religious TV networks such as CBN, CTN, Daystar or others? If a Preacher appears on one of these and these networks are commercial, what is their objective?

11. Look at the congregation. What do you see? Do you see Christians or do you see "The World"?

12. What religious symbolism is at the venue.....if any......is it Christian in nature.........or something else? More to the point ....what is the venue. Does it resemble a football stadium?

13. The glaring mistakes, slips of the tongue and blatant scripture misreading or analysis. False preachers rely on Biblical iliteracy to ensure that they are leading you away from the truth with false doctrine.

14. Their private life, where is their heart. Are they practicing what they preach or are they merely preaching and living like the world? Basically are the walking as Jesus walked?

15. Who do they associate with. You are who you hang with. Granted Jesus did hang around with sinners, publicans, the sick and lame, prostitutes, alcoholics and others because he said the Righteous do not need help but sinners do. But Jesus did not hang around with False Preachers and False Prophets!

16. Do they have a testimonial. How did they get "Saved". Is there a marked difference in their lives before and after the event or are they carrying on just living as the world.?

17. Are they of the world and telling you what you want to hear (ear tickling) or are they telling you what God wants you to hear.

18.Do they push the donate or Tithe lie saying if you do not Tithe you will not be blessed or maybe even cursed. Tithing is old covenant, something that was done away with the Christian New Covenant where we are told instead to help the needy, poor, sick, lame, widow and orphan and others in need.

19. The Spiritual Vacuum syndrome? If you have been part of their congregation for some time, is your life starting to bear spiritual fruit or are things the same for yourself and the rest of the congregation and you get the feeling you are in a Spiritual Vacuum.?

20. Do they constantly talk about Satan, Lucifier, the Devil but refer to him as the enemy. Is this enemy mentioned more times than God or Jesus during a Sermon. My local church this Sunday I never heard any reference to Satan once?

21. Some Preachers will say they hear from God and have some amazing gift, but does what they hear check against "The Word"?

22. They will try to spiritually control you and claim THEY will guide you to God and help you understand him when if you are truly Saved and Born Again then the Holy Spirit will guide you and help you to understand God There is no need for a Pastor/Preacher/Teacher to do this and act as some sort of gateway.

23. Confusion. After listening to a Sermon are you left more confused afterwards than you were before? Confusion is never of the Lord!

24. The warm and tingly froth and foam syndrome? After listening for ten minutes to said Preacher are you left with a distinct feeling that nothing much has been said in that period of time? Basically what you have heard is a lot of "Hot Air" and you are seeing a lot of "Foam" and not much else. BUT you have a nice warm tingly feeling?

25. The Self Do they use words like I, You, We, My, Us, Our, Me, Myself. If these words dominate in their sermons you can bet that you are being preached a Word of Faith or Prosperity Gospel where the centre of the universe is yourself and not God?

These are just 25 ways (some unorthodox) of sussing out whether you are being confronted with a False Preacher or False Teacher. Of course if you have the Spirit you will in all probability have the gift of discernment and confronted by one of these "Wolf in Sheep´s clothing" types alarm bells will be ringing very loudly indeed. What do you do in such a situation? Run and avoid in the future! The Bible does mention confronting such a person and maybe with others on the issue but "Run and Avoid" is your best option and alert others.

Bible Quotes:
Romans 16:17-18 (KJV) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

1 Corinthians 14:3-4 On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church.

Ephesians 4:14-17
14. That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15. But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16. From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
17. This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

Matthew 7:15-20
15. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17. Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Galatians 5:19-25
19. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
James 2:17-18
17. Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

1 John 2:6
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Acts 20:28-30
28. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
29. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

2 Peter 2:1-3
1. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Matthew 7:21-23
21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 24:4-5
4. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15
13. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Mega Preachers Exposed Part 7. Oprah Winfrey a closer look.

A closer look at the now Celebrity and World Famous Talk Show host Oprah Winfrey who classes herself these days as a Spiritual Teacher. Who hasn´t heard of Oprah? The main question that will be answered is "Do Oprah's teachings lead you to God...... or somewhere else?"

Oprah has an estimated Net Worth of over a Billion that puts her just ahead of top Mega Preacher by Net Worth Kenneth Copeland featured in Mega Preachers Exposed Part 6, who is a very different animal indeed. Oprah is not your typical Pastor/Preacher or Mega Preacher type, but came to fame via her TV chat shows. A former Baptist she comes across as the listening friend everybody wants and the dream next door neighbour type you wish you had and that person with the shoulder to cry on.

She does class herself as a Christian that believes in God and Jesus but her take on Christianity is a new one with an Oprah twist, that is proving exceptionally popular with the masses. She has an ever increasing army of followers that are looking for happiness in their lives. Her spiritual Guru is Eckhart Tolle, who has become famous in his own right since his association with Oprah. He is famous for his book "A New Earth". More on that later, but the title gives a good clue what it and she is really all about.

She went to a Baptist Church in her younger days, the same one as Obama. Jeremiah Wright was her Pastor. Her Eureka moment in her Spiritual Life came when her Pastor quoted this Bible verse or one of many others but the focus words/phrase is "Jealous God"

For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
Exodus:34:14

or

Deuteronomy 4:24
For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

This sparked a massive change in her beliefs and she moved away from the more Biblical Christianity one that is based on "The Word" to a newer version, which is the one she preaches today. Further details on this throughout her featured videos here.

She has had her fair share of tragedies in her life and that's what part of her attraction is, she's human with a Capital H and you name it in life, she has been there and back and got the T Shirt in the process and makes it known to the world. As she says everybody has Skeletons in their closets and so does she, but the world knows about hers. That's why people find it so easy to emphasise with her. Oprah gives her audience what they are looking for, so they can escape their suffering, anguish, and pain in life. But is it in any sense of the word...... "Christianity"?

Introduction

A video that leapt out for some reason out of many gives a good insight into Oprah in about 5 or 6 minutes. If you have seen her before on TV this will be nothing new, if you haven´t seen her before, it´s a good gateway video into the World of Oprah or what some call "The Church of Oprah" bigger than Joel Osteen and Kenneth Copeland and the rest by far.

Video 1 Oprahs Life class in Radio City Hall NYC

Here´s some samples of what she has to say.

I am a Chrisitian. That is my faith. I´m not asking you to be a Christian. If you want to be one. I can show you how (laughter from audience)....But it is not required. I have respect for all faiths. ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Faiths......I´m not talking about Faith or Religion I´m talking about Spirtuality.

She mentions three words "Force, Energy, Consciousness"

She says there is no life without a Spiritual Life

Favourite Bible Verse Acts 17:28 (which she couldn´t remember)

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

She quotes "In God I Live and Move and Have My Being"

Video 1 Analysis:
In 6 minutes, straight off the bat we have contradictions and confusions. She says she is a Christian but uses the words "Force, Energy and Consciousness" these are New Age Terms and are not associated with Christianity. The three words Christians would use are "The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit" or "Peace Love and Joy". As soon as you hear the word energy you are tapping into a New Age/Pagan philosophy. She says she can show you how to be a Christian which is met with roars of laughter from the audience and then adds "But it is not required". This sounds similar to the Joel Osteen approach, one size fits all, it´s almost as if she is mocking the traditional Christianity. She says she is not talking about Faith or Religion she is talking about Spirtuality.

And there in a nutshell is the Oprah philosophy laid bare. She says she is a Christian. Christianity is a Religion which is also at it´s very core about Faith, but in the same breath she says "I´m not talking about Faith or Religion, I´m talking about Spirituality" so in a word she is talking about something else other than Christianity, which again raises the question "What Christianity is she talking about?"

Some Introductory Famous Quotes

To see whether Oprah is a False Teacher or not requires looking at a couple of her famous sayings to get the ball rolling

1. Oprah has been most famously quoted as saying there are "Many paths to what you call God" which strangely seems at conflict to what Jesus said:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John:14:6

2. Oprah has also famously said "Jesus did not come to this Earth to die on the Cross for our Sins."

But the Bible says

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans:5:8

3. "There couldn't possibly be one way (to heaven)."

But the Bible says
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts:4:12

And finally

4. "There are Many other Paths to God other than Christianity." which is explained in more detail below. There are many paths to many God's but only one path to the True God.

The New Age Deception.
The New Age religious stance is that all religions are similar and they all lead to the same God and therefore there are many routes to God and many routes to Heaven. This is not true. This is the Oprah Mantra. God resides IN us, and is not an external entity. Therefore if God is inside us, we control our own destiny. You in effect become a God and it´s the infamous "little Gods" doctrine made famous by many false preachers hailed by many Christians as "The Doctrine of Demons"

The Bible quite clearly states otherwise:

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew:5:16

What does the beginning of the Lords Prayer that everybody knows, Christian or not, say in the opening line as mentioned in Matthew 6:9

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

There is no mention of the Tri State as in the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit by Oprah, that also seems to be in denial in Oprah´s teachings even though she says she is a Christian.

What is the typical Christian blessing: "I bless you in the name of the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit (Ghost)"

The Oprah Philosophy
Oprah calls herself a Christian but says you don´t have to be a Christian to follow her? Some have labelled Oprah as a cult leader tuned into the promotion of anti-biblical beliefs which deny the very foundations of Christianity. Her webcasts have attracted hundreds of thousands of participants with the promise of gaining new perspectives on how to live a life of enrichment, peace, new found self-worth, and spiritual freedom.

A Bible quote relevant to the Oprah and Tolle mantra is from Satan as the Serpent in the Garden of Eden regarding the eating of the Apple from the Tree of Knowledge.

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Genesis:3:5

Here´s some Eckhard Tolle sayings to ponder over "Life is the Dancer. You are the Dance" and contentment is as being "one with life." …..............Right?

Oprah is heavily influenced by Eckhard Tolle, who appears on her shows and provides New Age insight into Spirtuality. Here´s a sample video of what he is all about.

So What exactly is New Age

The typical New Ager believes:
1. God is in everything (pantheism)
2. All things are one (monism)
3. Man is God
4. Your mind creates the reality
5. Your own experiencse make the truth valid

New Agers do not believe in evil. Therefore, they do not accept man's problem as being seperated from God by Sin that interferes with Holiness. They believe that each of us has forgotten their own divinity and needs to find it again. Therefore, the New Age solution is to seek "higher consciousness" through meditation, breathing exercises, yoga, diet, crystals, channeling. spirit guides, and more. Each of these diverse practices has the same purpose: to awaken the god in man. Info via CrossWalk.com

New Agers are Universalists, believing that all paths lead to God. New Age belief centres around the fact the Christian and Judaism route to God, is narrow, rigid and that these religions are narrow minded. They fault Christians and those in Judaism for being intolerant and inflexible and old fashioned. The thing is what God are they referring to? Is it the God of Heaven that is the same for those in Judaism or Christianity or the God of this world (Satan). They are also in denial of the Tri State: Father, Son, Holy Spirit with their "God is inside you" mantra. But God's word anticipates this and warns

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
(Matthew:7:13-14)

An Oprah New Age Take on Prayer
Her prayers from what I´ve seen are always preceded by a Deep Breath which again is a New Age thing, certainly not a Christian one

"Open your heart and quietly to yourself say the only prayer that's ever needed: Thank you, thank you, thank you," she has said once. "You're still here. You get another chance this day to do better and be better, another chance to become more of who you were created and what you're created to fulfill. Thank you. Amen."

No reference to God or Heavenly Father or Jesus or Lord or anything. Your, You, Yourself, You´re are the keywords here. Sounds very similar to the Joel Osteen preaching. This take on prayer is not biblical and is totally New Age. The Bible commands us to pray for very specific things beyond thanks.

Oprah's Theology
So let's take a look at some more famous Oprah sayings these have been lifted off various videos

1. "God is a feeling experience not a believing experience? One of the key components of Christianity is Belief!

2. "I believe God is in all things" which is New Age. Christians believe "God created all things"

In short Oprah promises "meaning without truth, acceptance without judgment, and fulfillment without self-denial." in other words the broad gate mentioned in the Bible. The Oprah approach is  something that everybody will clamber on board and reach deep in their pockets to read or see at her travelling road shows hence her success.

What's the Good News?
Here´s the strange thing, the good news is many New Agers do read the words of Jesus and look at him as a Spiritual Guru and they put their own twist on his words to fit in with their centred way of thinking. What they don't realise is, by constantly referring to the words of Jesus, which as everyone knows these words contain spirtual power. Christian seeds are being sown in their New Age lives without them even realising it and good ones, and many New Agers consequently as a result see the light and flock to the truth as in Christianity. 100% realising what a fake the New Age Religion really is. It´s very difficult to consistently read the Bible and not be a Christian, such is the power of “The Word”.

Summary

Oprah classes herself as a Spirituality teacher and a modern day Christian. She has a massive following and really you could say the "Church of Oprah" is the biggest by far in this present day, spanning the globe via Internet and TV broadcasts, eclipsing the likes of say Joel Osteen and Kenneth Copeland. She has a Net Worth of over a Billion to match, which tells you quite definitely where her fruit is, no need to delve any deeper there. She is charismatic, highly liked, a good speaker, knows how to make people laugh and cry, and manages to connect with her audience that hangs on her every word, hoping to find answers to life problems and reach that life nirvana of total happiness.

Vid: A video featuring the owner of this website sheds some light titled 15 Signs of a False Preacher

But here´s where the problems start. Her New Age philosophy is not the issue, if that was being preached in isolation. It is the mixing of Christianity with her New Age beliefs, that´s where the problem lies. Just like mixing oil with water, the two will never mix and this is what Oprah is presenting to the world as a new form of Christianity. As is demonstrated by Matthew 7:13-14, the narrow way leads to the truth and not many find it, the broad way leads to destruction and many will be on that road. Oprah and her following is off the scale huge and bears testimony to that Bible quote. It´s a fun road to be on, but it ultimately leads to darkness.

She has a lot of similarities to the Osteen's with their positive New Age vibe interlaced with Biblical quotes, but there is no mistaking the Oprah delivery. Her goal is the same as any other False Preacher or False Prophet, that is to tell you what you want to hear, lead you away from the truth to their way of thinking, away from the light and into a darkness being packaged as Christianity with what she calls "Spirituality", which in reality is New Age teachings which are Satanic in nature.

New Age appeals to people in the modern fast paced world we live in today. On the surface it looks and seems cool, isn´t too invasive into our lives, fits in with our lifestyles and is easy to comprehend and appears to cater to OUR needs to guarantee happiness, wealth, health and some sort of spiritual nirvana. It´s spreading into every area of our lives, in schools, doctors surgeries, colleges and many public places and creeping into peoples public conscience. It´s a one size fits all spirituality, where you can dive into a spiritual guru of your choice such as Buddhism, Jesus, Mohammed or Hare Krishna, whatever takes your fancy, but the end result is you are being separated from the True God and will never experience the true spirituality which leads to something that the New Age religion can never deliver. You are just being led into a spiritual vacuum.

One thing you´ll notice with all these False Preachers and Teachers is that their audience is heavily dependent on that particular preacher to give them their spirituality, take that person out of the equation and they realise they have nothing. That alone should be a warning in itself. The other tell tale sign is the person preaching is enjoying huge success but is your life showing any positive signs of change?

Strangely I do see some goodness here in Oprah, just as with Paula White, but it has been corrupted by this New Age Deception, but maybe if she still reads the Bible and the words of Jesus, she may come round full circle, see the light and become a full blown Christian again?

To summarise Oprah is a Spiritual Teacher in the New Age sense of the word, but a False Teacher in the Christian sense of the word. If you are looking to find the Truth, The Light, God and Jesus and Christianity.......you will NOT find it here!
